This gorgeous spacious villa has the romantic name Six Hills and is located in the North East of Samui, in the quiet scenic district of Plai Laem, high on land which slopes down to the beach and offers breathtaking sea views from the master bedroom.
The Samui airport is only 10 minutes away. It takes the same time to get to Fisherman’s Village â one of Samui’s most popular tourist areas with a variety of shops and restaurants. The Big Buddha statue, perhaps Samui’s most iconic landmark, is even closer â just a 5-minute drive.
The villa is made up of two units or pavilions, a rectangular pool and a beautiful tropical garden. East Asian style and design is used throughout. The exterior finish is a balanced combination of subtle pastel orange and chocolate tones. The contemporary interiors are both stylish and homely: decorative elements of honey, sunshine and coffee shades tastefully contrast with the delicate beige walls.
All 4 bedrooms are in a two-level pavilion â two bedrooms on each floor. The main bedrooms are on the second floor and have a unique layout: each bedroom has a spacious alcove with a bathtub visually separated from the bedroom area. The alcove provides access to a separate bathroom with a double sink and a shower. The bedrooms on the first floor come with en-suite bathrooms each with a bathtub and shower. Bedroom furnishings include comfortable double beds, bedside tables with exquisite lamps, a compact chest of drawers, a safe, and a wardrobe. All rooms have a balcony with two providing particularly splendid panoramic views of Koh Som and Koh Phangan.
This pavilion also has an activity room on the first floor where you can play a variety of board games while sitting comfortably in an armchair or sofa. There is an additional bathroom. The basement of the pavilion has been turned in to a small gym with two treadmills and a set of dumbbells. The gym also has an air-conditioner, toilet, and a shower room with floor scales. Strong WIFI is accessible from anywhere on the property.
The kitchen and the living room are in the second pavilion. The panoramic windows of the living area add to the room’s feeling of spaciousness and allow in plenty of daylight. Deep sofas with soft cushions invite you to enjoy having a friendly heart-to-heart talk or watch a film on the large-screen TV with your friends and family.
The entire grounds of the villa are designed for comfort and utter relaxation. The paths are paved with flagstones alternating with wooden plank terraces, lawns of soft grass, and pebble covered areas. There are six day beds by the pool. Three large umbrellas provide shade on a sunny afternoon. You can also shelter yourself from the sun in the covered gazebo (sala) at the end of the pool. The residence is surrounded by slender palms; the garden also features some wonderful Bodhi trees (considered as sacred as this was the type of tree Buddha sat under). It is particularly enjoyable to meditate or read while in a comfortable rocking chair in the shade of these trees.
